Auger Named QMJHL's First Star

Sebastien Auger has been named the QMJHL’s first star of the week.

Auger led the Saint John Sea Dogs to two wins over the weekend, defeating the Halifax Mooseheads 5-2 on Saturday and Charlottetown Islanders 4-1 on Sunday. The 20-year old netminder made 30 saves on Saturday and 35 stops on Sunday.

The veteran goaltender is now 7-3 on the season to go along with a 2.73 goals against average and .912 save percentage.

Baie-Comeau’s Valentin Zykov and Blainville-Boisbriand’s Daniel Walcott were named the second and third stars of the week.
