Tough Weekend Ahead For Sea Dogs

The Saint John Sea Dogs have a tough weekend ahead of them.

The Dogs will host the Halifax Mooseheads on Saturday night at 7 p.m. at Harbour Station and the Charlottetown Islanders on the Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m.

The Islanders and Mooseheads met this evening in Halifax. Timo Meier, Danny Moynihan, and Vincent Watt scored for the Moose while the Isles had goals from Oliver Cooper and Filip Chlapik. Winnipeg Jets prospect Nikolaj Ehlers made his return to the Halifax lineup but was held off the scoresheet.

The win improved Halifax to 3-4-1-1 on the season. They sit fifth in the Maritimes Division but the return of Ehlers makes them instantly better.

Meanwhile, Charlottetown is 5-4-1-1 and sit in the middle of the Maritimes standings.

After splitting last weekend’s games in Cape Breton, Saint John is 5-2-0-2.
