Luke Green has been named to one of the
Canadian teams that will take part in the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge next month.
Green, the first overall pick in the
2014 QMJHL Entry Draft by the Saint John Sea Dogs, has been living up the hype
so far this season, registering four assists and 12 shots in seven games.
Green has been named to Canada White for
the tournament. The yearly event has been revamped this year and will feature
three Canadian national teams rather than regional teams. Also, the tournament
will take place in November rather than over New Year’s.
Also on Canada White is Rouyn-Noranda's Samuel Harvey, Val-d’Or’s Gabriel Bilodeau, Bathurst’s Jordan Maher,
Rimouski’s Hunter Moreau, Blainville-Boisbriand’s Alexander Katerinakis, and
Cape Breton draft choice Michael O’Leary.
The 2014 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge
takes place November 2-8 in Sarnia-Lambton, Ontario.
