GAMEDAY 11: vs Islanders

A preview of today’s game between the Charlottetown Islanders and Saint John Sea Dogs…

When and where: Today at 3 p.m., Harbour Station

Records: The Islanders are third in the Maritimes Division and 10th overall in the QMJHL with a 5-4-1-1 record for 12 points. The Sea Dogs sit first in the Maritimes and third overall with a 6-2-0-2 record for 14 points.

Last games: Charlottetown is coming off a 3-2 loss to the Mooseheads in Halifax on Friday night. Oliver Cooper and Filip Chlapik scored for the Isles while Mason McDonald made 27 saves in the loss. Saint John is coming off a 5-2 win over the Mooseheads last night. Spencer Smallman scored twice while singles came from Justice Dundas, Thomas Chabot, and Mathieu Joseph. Sebastien Auger made 30 saves in the win.

2014-15 head-to-head: The Sea Dogs are 1-0-0-1 against the Islanders this season while Charlottetown is 1-0-0-1 against Saint John.

Last meeting: Oct. 1 at Harbour Station when the Sea Dogs defeated the Islanders 5-4 in a shootout. Mark Tremaine, Adam Marsh, Mathieu Joseph, and Olivier LeBlanc scored for Saint John while Alexandre Goulet had two goals for the Isles and Daniel Sprong and Luc Deschenes added singles. Sebastien Auger made 30 saves in the win while Mason McDonald made 30 in the loss.
