GAMEDAY 18: at Bathurst

A preview of tonight’s game between the Saint John Sea Dogs and Acadie-Bathurst Titan…

When and where: Tonight at 7:30 p.m., KC Irving Regional Centre

Records: The Sea Dogs sit first in the Maritimes Division and third overall in the QMJHL with a record of 11-3-0-3 for 25 points. The Titan are last in the Maritimes and last overall with a 5-13-1-0 record for 11points.

Last games: The Sea Dogs are coming off a 5-4 shootout win over the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles on Saturday. Adam Marsh had two goals while singles came from Jakub Zboril and Matthew Highmore. Bobby Dugan made 36 saves for his first QMJHL win. The Titan are coming off a 5-2 loss in Val-d’Or on Saturday. Nicholas Blanchard and Egor Popov scored for Bathurst.

2014-15 head-to-head: The Sea Dogs are 1-0-0-0 against the Titan this season while Bathurst is 0-1-0-0 against Saint John.

Last meeting: Sept. 19 at Harbour Station when the Sea Dogs defeated the Titan 5-1. Nathan Noel had two goals for Saint John while singles came from Olivier LeBlanc, Mathieu Joseph and Mark Tremaine. Bathurst’s lone goal came from Gabriel Gosselin. Sebastien Auger made 24 saves in the win while Jacob Brennan made 25 in the loss.
