GAMEDAY 19: at Halifax

A preview of tonight’s game between the Saint John Sea Dogs and Halifax Mooseheads…

When and where: Tonight at 7 p.m., Scotiabank Centre

Records: The Sea Dogs sit first in the Maritimes Division, second overall in the QMJHL and are ranked third in the CHL Top 10 rankings with a record of 12-3-0-3 for 27 points. The Mooseheads are fifth in the Maritimes and 15th overall with a 7-10-1-1 record for 16 points.

Last games: The Sea Dogs are coming off a 4-2 win in Bathurst on Wednesday night. Daniel Del Paggio, Justice Dundas, Jakub Zboril and Samuel Dove-McFalls scored for Saint John while Sebastien Auger made 33 saves.  The Mooseheads are coming off a 3-0 win over the Charlottetown Islanders on Sunday. Nikolaj Ehlers, Danny Moynihan and Timo Meier scored for the Moose while Zach Fucale made 20 saves in the victory.

2014-15 head-to-head: The Sea Dogs are 3-0-0-0 against the Mooseheads this season while Halifax is 0-2-1-0 against Saint John.

Last meeting: Oct. 11 at Harbour Station when the Sea Dogs defeated the Mooseheads 5-2. Spencer Smallman had two goals for Saint John while singles came from Justice Dundas, Thomas Chabot and Mathieu Joseph. Mooseheads goals came from Nikolaj Ehlers and Vincent Watt. Sebastien Auger made 30 saves in the win while Kevin Resop made 32 for the Moose.
