SYDNEY, NS – The Saint John
Sea Dogs and Cape Breton Screaming Eagles could both be missing key players
when the QMJHL playoffs begin next week.
Sea Dogs defenseman Luke Green did not
return after receiving this hit from Pierre-Luc Dubois in the first period of
last night’s game at Centre 200. There was no penalty on the play.

TVA Sports’ Mikael Lalancette reports
Green could be out two to four weeks, which is a huge loss for Saint John,
especially with Bailey Webster and Alex Bernier still out with injuries.

Meanwhile, Thomas Chabot missed most of
last night’s game after blocking a shot. We should know more about his status
today. The Sea Dogs, who were already without three of their top forwards in Matthew
Highmore, Mathieu Joseph and Adam Marsh due to injuries, finished the match
with just four defenseman. Kyle Ward and Samuel Dove-McFalls saw some time on
the backend.
The league has suspended Dubois “until further notice,” which is a huge loss for the Screaming Eagles. Dubois, a top
prospect for this year’s NHL Draft, has 99 points on the year.
