Game Day 12: vs Screaming Eagles

SAINT JOHN - The Saint John Sea Dogs return to action tonight, hosting the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles.

These two teams met a couple weeks ago at Harbour Station in a game that saw the Sea Dogs end their six-game losing streak with a 5-3 win over the Screaming Eagles.

Game time tonight for "Pink in the Rink" is 7 p.m.

Records: The Sea Dogs are 2-6-2-1 for seven points (fifth Maritimes, 15th QMJHL) while the Screaming Eagles are 5-6-0-1 for 11 points (fourth Maritimes, 14th QMJHL).

Last games: The Sea Dogs are coming off a 6-5 shootout loss to the Islanders in Charlottetown last Sunday. Robbie Burt scored twice while singles came from Josh Lawrence, Charlie DesRoches and William Poirier. Alex D'Orio made 49 saves in the loss. The Screaming Eagles are coming off a 4-3 overtime home loss to the Rimouski Oceanic on Thursday. Wilson Forest, Mathias Laferriere, Gabriel Proulx and Mitchell Balmas. Kevin Mandolese made 19 stops in the loss.

2018-19 head-to-head: The Sea Dogs are 1-0-0-0 against the Screaming Eagles this season while Cape Breton is 0-1-0-0 against Saint John.

Last meeting: Oct. 9 at Harbour Station where the Sea Dogs defeated the Screaming Eagles 5-3. Yohan Plamondon and Anthony Boucher scored two goals each for Saint John while Maxim Cajkovic also scored. Mitchell Balmas, Brooklyn Kalmikov and Ryan Francis scored for Cape Breton. Alex D'Orio made 36 stops in the win. Kevin Mandolese made seven stops before being pulled early in the second period. William Grimard made 16 stops in relief.
