RECAP: Sea Dogs lose 5-2

FINAL: Saint John 2, Moncton 5
MONCTON - The Saint John Sea Dogs dropped their fifth straight game on Thursday night in Moncton.

Jeremy McKenna scored twice to lead the Moncton Wildcats to a 5-2 win over the Sea Dogs at the Avenir Centre. Mika Cyr, Jakob Pelletier and Simon Le Coultre also scored for the 'Cats while Francis Leclerc made 37 stops in the win.

The red hot Yohan Plamondon was moved to the Sea Dogs' top line for this game, joining Josh Lawrence and Maxim Cajkovic. The move seemed to work out okay as Plamondon scored his team leading sixth goal of the season in the loss. Brady Burns scored Saint John's other goal while Alex D'Orio made 37 stops in the loss.

Things don't get much easier for Saint John with back-to-back games against the Charlottetown Islanders this weekend, a home-and-home set that begins on Friday night at Eastlink Centre.

SCRATCHES: The Sea Dogs were without Christian Clark (injured), Kevin Mason (healthy) and Luke Wilson (healthy); along with defensemen Carson Gallant (healthy) and Brendan Sibley (healthy).

NOTES: This was the most shots the Sea Dogs have recorded in a game this season, according to the team... with Yohan Plamondon moving to the top line, William Porier was on line two and Anthony Boucher on line three... Saint John scored first in a game for just the third time this season... the Sea Dogs have yet to win a road game this year.

NEXT GAME: The Sea Dogs visit the Charlottetown Islanders on Friday night at 7:30 p.m.
