No surprise here.
Congrats to #FLAPanthers prospect @jonnyhuby11 of @seadogshockey named Team #QMJHL Captain for the #SubwaySeries
— CanadianHockeyLeague (@CHLHockey) November 5, 2012
Huberdeau has captained the Saint John Sea Dogs for over
a year, has world junior experience, and wore the ‘C’ a few times this summer
in the Canada-Russia Challenge, so it’s not a surprise to see him awarded this
honour.
The Florida Panthers prospect could not participate in
last year’s Subway Super Series because of a broken foot. He currently leads the Sea Dogs in scoring with 11 goals and
12 assists in 18 games.
According to another Canadian Hockey League tweet, Xavier
Ouellet, Phillip Danault, and Charles Hudon will be alternate captains.
Game 1 of the Subway Super Series between Team QMJHL and
Team Russia is tonight at 8pm in Blainville-Boisbriand. Watch it on Sportsnet.
