It feels a little like opening night at Harbour Station.
The Sea Dogs are playing their first home game since November 4, they are wearing
different jerseys, and there are plenty of lineup changes.
Those lineup changes include:
- Forward Matthew Highmore, the eighth overall pick in June’s QMJHL Entry Draft, is making his debut. He has not played yet this year thanks to off-season shoulder surgery.
- Veteran defenseman Pierre Durepos, who hasn’t played a game all season due to injury, is making his 2012-13 debut. Durepos, playing in his fourth and final season, recorded three goals and 26 assists in 63 regular season games last year. He added a goal and four assists in 17 playoff games.
- Forward Spencer Smallman, a fourth round pick by Saint John in June, is returning to the Sea Dogs lineup tonight. He made his one and only appearance so far this season on October 12 against Rouyn-Noranda and injured his shoulder. He has not played since.
- Lastly, import defenseman Jurij Repe returns to the lineup tonight from a shoulder injury. He has not played since November 10 in Drummondville. Repe has a goal and two assists in 20 games this year.
