Since the Sea Dogs announced publicly yesterday via
press release and their website that they are accepting applications for the team’s general
manager position, there has certainly been some interesting feedback about the
move on the interweb.
Our pal CJ of ‘Power Play with CJ’ fame explains why
the Sea Dogs should hire him as their new GM via YouTube video.
He makes some solid points. This is the kind of
creativity we need around here.
Not bragging, but it only took me 3 years to
win the Cup with Calgary in NHL14 RT @sunayas Apply to be

@SeaDogsHockey
I don't know much about management but if you hire me and we win it
would make a great inspirational true story movie.

“I think it’s been deemed outside the box or a little
untraditional to actually go out and advertise or state that we’re looking,” Sea
Dogs president Wayne Long said in today’s Telegraph-Journal (paywall).
Check out that T-J article if you get a chance as Long
explains the hiring process and what they are looking for quite nicely. By the sounds of it, the Sea Dogs are going to be putting a lot of work in to make sure they hire the right person. That is a good thing.
Wonder why they didn't take this position when hiring a coaching staff??? Makes you wonder.
