SHAWINIGAN, QC - The Saint John Sea Dogs had their best performance of this road trip but it still wasn't enough on Sunday.

Dylan Rozzi netted Saint John's only goal in a 4-1 loss to the Shawinigan Cataractes at Centre Gervais Auto. The loss was Saint John's 11th straight, tying the second longest losing skid in club history.

The Sea Dogs once again allowed the game's first goal but Rozzi's power play marker tied it up at 16:44 of the middle frame.

The Cataractes scored late in the first to retake the lead – a lead they would hold onto.

Saint John was able to hang around in this game at least with Shawinigan's fourth goal being an empty netter at 18:24 of the third. The Sea Dogs outshot the Cataractes 13-9 in the final frame and had a few decent chances.

Jiri Klima scored twice for Shawinigan while Felix Lacerte and Kody Dupuis added singles. Mathys Fernandez made 24 stops in the win.

Eric Young made 32 saves in the loss.

Saint John fell 14-0 in Baie-Comeau on Thursday and then 6-1 on Friday in Chicoutimi. The Sea Dogs head home with three losses that saw them get outscored 24-2.
