The Saint John Sea Dogs and Gatineau Olympiques have been heading in opposite directions of late.

The Sea Dogs were swept on their three-game Quebec road trip last week, extending their losing streak to 11 games. The Olympiques, meanwhile, have won three straight, earning wins over the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada, Rouyn-Noranda Huskies and Sherbrooke Phoenix.

Gatineau's winning streak has pushed them into the 16th and final playoff spot, two points up on Saint John. Gatineau has also played two fewer games.
The Sea Dogs will play three games this week, including a key Thursday matchup against the Halifax Mooseheads, who remain within striking distance for both Saint John and Gatineau.

Thursday, Feb. 27 vs Mooseheads
Saturday, March 1 at Cape Breton
Sunday, March 2 at Cape Breton

The Olympiques will also play three games this week, all of which will be on home ice.

Friday, Feb. 28 vs Foreurs

The top 16 teams in the QMJHL's overall standings qualify for the playoffs.

The Sea Dogs have nine regular season games remaining, which includes four home games.
