The Sea Dogs were swept on their three-game Quebec road trip last week, extending their losing streak to 11 games. The Olympiques, meanwhile, have won three straight, earning wins over the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada, Rouyn-Noranda Huskies and Sherbrooke Phoenix.
Gatineau's winning streak has pushed them into the 16th and final playoff spot, two points up on Saint John. Gatineau has also played two fewer games.
The Sea Dogs will play three games this week, including a key Thursday matchup against the Halifax Mooseheads, who remain within striking distance for both Saint John and Gatineau.
