The Saint John Sea Dogs are expected to release their full training camp roster some time today.
“The Sea Dogs’ complete training camp roster will be announced on Thursday,” states the Sea Dogs’ official website.

The roster will include several free agents, including five that were added to Saint John’s current roster on the QMJHL website last Tuesday. They are defenceman Yohann Mathieu and forwards Phillip Fife, Sebastien Huberdeau, Dylan Jones, and Peter Trainor.
Since then, forwards Spencer MacDonald and Peter Topshee have been added to the teams list of players.
MacDonald was acquired in a trade with the Montreal Junior last week. MacDonald was drafted by the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles in the fifth round, 85th overall, in the 2008 QMJHL Entry Draft and was later sent to Montreal in the Luke Adam deal.
MacDonald has spent the last two seasons with the Maritime Junior A Hockey League’s Summerside Western Capitals. In 39 games last season, MacDonald recorded four goals and 18 assists to go along with 74 penalty minutes. In 2008-09, the blue liner registered no goals, three assists and 48 penalty minutes in 37 matches.
In 35 regular season games with the Pictou Weeks Major Midgets last season, Topshee recorded 15 goals and 19 assists which was good for fourth in team scoring.
