MOOSE TRIM ROSTER AS DOGS AWAIT

The Halifax Mooseheads made five cuts today at Training Camp heading into their Wednesday night game at Harbour Station against the Saint John Sea Dogs.

The Mooseheads cut right-winger Ryan Davis, left-winger Dylan McGuigan, defencemen Joshua Desmond and Kyle Kavanaugh, and goaltender Randy Chisholm. There are now 26 players at Herd camp compared to the Sea Dogs’ 23.

Halifax is still seeing what options they have after the IIHF ruled that their import pick, Martin Frk, could not be transferred to the Canadian Hockey League.

Saint John and Halifax have split their two meetings so far in the 2010 pre-season.
