NHL Pre-Season Begins Today

According to the Miami Herald, Jonathan Huberdeau is expected to make his National Hockey League pre-season debut tonight when the Florida Panthers host the Nashville Predators 8:30pm AST.

The Panthers are Predators are playing in a rare double-header at the BankAtlantic Center. Game One began at 4:00pm AST and Game Two will take place later this evening.

The Miami Herald’s Panthers blog ‘On Frozen Pond’ states that Huberdeau will play on the third line with Marcel Goc and Jonathan Hazen.

Here are the line combinations, defense pairings, and goaltenders:
Upshall-Santorelli-Dadonov
Booth-Kennedy-Repik
Huberdeau-Goc-Hazen
Selleck-Matthias-Skille
 Garrison-Gudbranson
Campbell-Yonkman
Robak-Kostka
 Clemmenson/Markstrom
There are two other pre-season games tonight as the Buffalo Sabres host the Carolina Hurricanes and the Ottawa Senators travel to Toronto to face the Maple Leafs.

According to the Maple Leafs website, former Sea Dogs sniper Mike Hoffman will be in the lineup for the Senators.

The Leafs game can be seen on LeafsTV and begins at 8pm AST.

In other news, Simon Despres will play for Team Gold tonight as the Pittsburgh Penguins hold a intra-squad game in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
