The first comes from the Telegraph-Journal as Marty Klinkenberg checks in on Stanislav Galiev at Washington Capitals training camp. Galiev has been living the high life with NHL superstar and fellow Russian Alexandre Ovechkin.
The second comes from today’s Globe and Mail which features Jonathan Huberdeau’s face plastered on the front page of the sports section. Globe sports reporter Sean Gordon discusses the rise of the forward's stock and the recent struggles with the Quebec hockey development system.
Gordon calls the Florida Panthers prospect “one of the brightest prospects to issue forth from Quebec’s minor hockey system in almost a generation.”
