Game Day 30 & 31: vs Eagles

- The Saint John Sea Dogs close out the first half of the season with a pair of home games against the Cape Breton Eagles this weekend.

The Sea Dogs and Eagles clash Friday and Saturday night at TD Station. Both are 7 p.m. starts. Following Saturday's contest, the QMJHL will be on its holiday break until Dec. 28.

The Sea Dogs and Eagles met on Wednesday in Sydney with the Eagles earning a 3-2 overtime win. It was a very evenly played match, so these two games have the potential to be good ones.

2022-23 regular season records: The Sea Dogs are 9-18-1-1 for 20 points (sixth Maritimes/10th Eastern/18th QMJHL) while the Eagles are 11-16-2-1 for 25 points (fifth Maritimes/ninth Eastern/16th QMJHL).

Last games: The Sea Dogs and Eagles met on Wednesday night at Centre 200 with Cape Breton winning 3-2 in overtime. Ivan Ivan scored a pair of goals while William Shields also converted. Cole Burbidge and Brady Burns scored for Saint John. Both goaltenders were very good with Nicolas Ruccia making 29 stops in the win and Ventsislav Shingarov making 31 stops in the loss.
