OTTAWA - The quarterfinals are set at the IIHF World Junior Championship.
All four quarterfinal games will take place Thursday in Ottawa, setting up Saturday's semifinals. The gold and bronze medal games will be played on Sunday.

Eriks Mateiko and Latvia finished fourth in Group A following a 3-0 loss to Finland on Tuesday. Mateiko finished the contest with 11 shots on goal in 17:01 of ice time, earning player of the game honours. He was responsible for 11 of Latvia's 28 shots.

The Saint John Sea Dogs captain had three goals in four games during the preliminary round.
Team Canada, meanwhile, will have a tough quarterfinal matchup against Pavel Simek and Czechia. Canada was eliminated by Czechia in the quarterfinals of last year's tournament.
Canada's offensive troubles continued in a frustrating 4-1 loss the United States on Tuesday night. New Brunswick's Bradly Nadeau scored Canada's lone goal on a power play in the third period.
