After falling 6-3 to the Charlottetown Islanders on Friday, the Sea Dogs were once again downed by the PEI side 24 hours later, this time falling 5-1.
Benjamin Amyot scored Saint John's lone goal in the loss, which is the club's fourth straight overall and seventh straight on the road.
Saint John once again allowed two goals in both the first and second periods and were, like Friday, heavily outshot in the middle frame, this time 13-4.
Charles-Edward Gravel was pulled after allowing a pair of goals on six shots in the first 8:25 of the game. Justin Robinson allowed three goals on 23 shots in relief.
Marcus Kearsey, Maxwell Jardine, Jabez Seymour, Simon Hughes and Nathan Leek all scored for Charlottetown. Nicolas Ruccia made 22 saves in the win.
With this pair of wins over Saint John, the Islanders are now just one point back of the Sea Dogs in the standings.

SCRATCHES: The Sea Dogs were without forwards Eriks Mateiko (world juniors) along with defensemen Julien Bonnet (healthy), Matthew MacLean (injury) and Olivier Duhamel (injury or sickness).
NOTES: With Olivier Duhamel out of the lineup, affiliate defenseman Julien Bonnet took warmup but was the team's final scratch. Saint John went with 13 forwards and five defensemen... Saint John went 0/3 on the power play while Charlottetown went 0/2... Benjamin Amyot's goal was his first in the QMJHL... Maxwell Jardine, Simon Hughes and Nathan Leek all had one goal and one assist... Olivier Groulx was a -4 while Nate Tivey and Matteo Mann were each a -3... Elliot Dubé and Parker Forlin each had four shots... attendance was 2,413.
