HUBERDEAU NAMED TO TEAM QUEBEC

Saint John Sea Dogs star rookie Jonathan Huberdeau has been named to the roster of Team Quebec for the World Under-17 Championships. The event takes place this year in Timmins, Ontario from December 29 to January 4.

Huberdeau was drafted by Saint John in the QMJHL Entry Draft in June. He was selected with the last pick of the first round, 18th overall, in a pick that came to Saint John in the Chris DiDomenico trade.

In 22 games this season the 16-year-old rookie center has five goals and five assists. He is part of the very dangerous fourth line that also features Stephen MacAulay and Zach Phillips. Huberdeau is famously known by Sea Dogs fans for his clutch play in the shootout. He is 3/3 in the breakaway challenge and currently sits tied with Eric Faille for first in the league with the three markers.
