Station Nation Facts:
  • In 2008-09, the team beat its own records, when Yannick Riendeau was one of the greatest leaders in franchise history. At the end of the regular season, the Voltigeurs won their first championship title, with 112 points and 54 wins. On May 12, 2009, the Voltigeurs lifted the President Cup for the first time in franchise history in front of a sell-out crowd at the Marcel Dionne Centre. It was a seven-game series to remember between Drummondville and Shawinigan. They finished with a 2-2 record in the Mastercard Memorial Cup.
  • Mike Hoffman played for the Volts last season and was traded to Saint John at the draft. The deal completed the Chris DiDomenico trade that saw Saint John acquire Drummondville’s first round draft pick and Hoffman. The Sea Dogs used the pick to draft Jonathan Huberdeau.
  • Head coach Mario Duhamel was a candidate for the vacant Sea Dogs coaching position in the summer.
  • Nine of the ten top players in +/- in the QMJHL play for either Saint John or Drummondville.
