Notes: Forward Dmitri Kugryshev of the Quebec Remparts and defenceman Dmitry Kostromitin of the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies will compete in both QMJHL games. Through 21 games with the Remparts this season, Kugryshev has 20 points in his second season with the club while Kostromitin has 14 points in 23 games with the Huskies after playing last season with the Montreal Juniors… Team Russia defeated the QMJHL all-stars last year in Saint John…

Notes: There are three Sea Dogs on the roster in Yann Sauve, Simon Despres, and Michael Kirkpatrick. This is the only game Kirkpatrick will play in… only eight players on the roster are not drafted by NHL teams with many of them being eligible this year for the first time… Val-d’Or Foreurs’ defenseman Marco Scandella will miss the first game of the Subway Super Series. Following his arrival in Drummondville yesterday afternoon, Scandella complained of dizziness and, as a precaution, was returned home to rest. He will be reevaluated on Tuesday... both teams will be put to the test with the ice surface being 190' X 85'

About the Subway Super Series:
The Subway Super Series is an important part of the selection process for both Russia and Canada’s National Junior Team before their final evaluation camps for the 2010 World Junior Hockey Championships held this winter in Saskatoon and Regina. Canada will be competing for a record sixth straight gold medal while Russia has medaled in each of the past five tournaments with two straight bronze medal victories.
