The streak is third all-time in the QMJHL history books… despite the Confederation Bridge being closed yesterday, News 88.9 reported that the Dogs were planning on traveling to Miramichi to stay the night after the game in PEI… their game last night was delayed 50 minutes than originally planned because of the bridge closure… second game of a tough three-in-three through the Maritimes. They play tomorrow afternoon in Moncton… have the QMJHL’s best road record at 14-2-1-0… despite a 21 game winning streak, the Sea Dogs are 9-1-0-0 in their last 10 road games… their last loss came on the road against the Rocket on October 13… expect to see Karel St. Laurent get the start between the pipes tonight… in four games against the Titan this season, Stanislav Galiev has a team high two goals and seven assists for seven points… Mike Hoffman has five goals in three games versus Bathurst… Mike Thomas has a team high 10 penalty minutes against the Titan this season. Three other players have a zero rating while the rest are in negatives… Bathurst acquired Yuri Cheremetiev from the Mooseheads earlier this season. He had only one goal and one assist in 13 games before he was released on December 3… Taylor Lambke has a team high five points – all assists – in four games against Saint John… Remi Blanchard is a -7 against Saint John this season… 7-2-0-1 in their last games… 7-7-1-1 at the K.C. Station Nation Facts:
  • Did you know former Sea Dog Charles Bergeron was the first player ever the play for all three New Brunswick based QMJHL teams? He was traded from the Dogs to Bathurst in 2006-07. He played for the Wildcats before coming to Saint John.
  • Saint John defeated Acadie-Bathurst 4-3 in a shootout on September 11 in the season opener for both clubs. Jonathan Huberdeau scored the shootout winner in his first career QMJHL game.
  • One of the most entertaining games of the Sea Dogs’ season came on October 25 at Harbour Station. Four fights took place including a candidate for fight of the year when Nathan Beaulieu took on Bryce Milson.
  • The Sea Dogs defeated the Titan in the second round of the 2008 playoffs. The Dogs won the series four games to two.
  • In 1998, the owner of the team, Léo-Guy Morrissette, announced that the Titan were leaving the confines of Laval Colisée after 27 seasons to move to the K.C. Irving Regional Centre in Bathurst.
  • Over the years, the team has won five titles while participating in ten league finals. Moreover, it won five regular season crowns, making it one of the most successful franchises in League history.
  • The team’s notables over the years include: Mike Bossy, Mario Lemieux, Martin Lapointe, François Beauchemin, Mathieu Benoit and Roberto Luongo.
  • The K.C. Irving Regional Centre is the home of the Acadie-Bathurst Titan, a team in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. The Centre provides 24 private boxes at the mezzanine level. These private boxes are located in equal numbers on both sides of the lounge and can accomodate approximately 150 persons.
