CHICOUTIMI, Que.
- The Saint John Sea Dogs won their fourth straight game on Wednesday night, defeating the Chicoutimi Sagueneens 5-1.

Peter Reynolds, who was out of the lineup for Tuesday's game, recorded two goals and an assist in the victory. William Dufour and Vincent Sevigny each recorded a goal and two assists. Yan Kuznetsov also scored while Thomas Couture, in his second start with the Sea Dogs, made 25 stops in the win.

Marc-Antoine Seguin scored Chicoutimi's lone goal. Kevyn Brassard made 34 stops in the loss.

The Sea Dogs had a much better performance Wednesday than they did the night before, winning a wild 7-5 game in Baie-Comeau. The team looked much more organized and in control - even while playing on the unfamiliar big ice in Chicoutimi.

Saint John is now 4-0-0-0 since the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League returned from its extended COVID pause.

SCRATCHES: The Sea Dogs were without goaltender Noah Patenaude; defenseman Vincent Despont; and forwards Olivier Picard and Nicholas Blagden. Saint John once again had 13 forwards listed on their pre-game lineup sheet with Picard being the final scratch.

BACK IN: Peter Reynolds returned to the Saint John lineup after not playing in Tuesday's contest. Jacob Chantler, meanwhile, appeared in his first game since December. Reynolds had a season best three-point night (two goals and an assist).

FAMILIAR FACE: Defenseman Christopher Inniss made his Sagueneens debut against his former club. Inniss, claimed off waivers by Chicoutimi, did not play over the weekend due to a two-game suspension he was handed in Saint John's final game before Christmas. Inniss had one shot and picked up three minor penalties.

THE STREAK: With a third period goal, William Dufour has now scored in seven straight games, tying the Sea Dogs franchise record for consecutive games with a goal. Dufour also extended his points streak to 20 games.
OTHER STREAKS: Vincent Sevigny now has goals in five straight road games. Josh Lawrence, meanwhile, had his 14-game point streak come to an end.

NOTES: Capacity for this game was limited to 500 fans. Attendance was 468... Nathan Drapeau and Emmanuel Vermette had a spirited fight in the second period... William Dufour continues to lead the league in scoring (58 points) and is now tied with Charlottetown's Patrick Guay for the goal lead with 28... Saint John allowed just their shorthanded goal against this season... Drapeau had four hits... Dufour had eight shots... Christopher Inniss wore an 'A' on his jersey... a lot of scrums and physical play for two teams that rarely play each other.

HIGHLIGHTS

NEXT GAME: The Sea Dogs wrap up their three-game Quebec road trip on Friday in Rimouski, taking on the Oceanic at 8:30 p.m.
