The most shocking series, by far, has
been between the No. 4 Val-d’Or Foreurs and No. 13 Blainville-Boisbriand
Armada. After back-to-back loses in Blainville-Boisbriand, the Foreurs will try
to stave off elimination on home ice tonight. Val-d’Or’s Julien Gauthier has
been held to just two points while the Armada’s Philippe Sanche and Etienne
Montembeault have been very good.
The Moncton Wildcats can advance to the
second round with a win in Victoriaville tonight. This series has gotten a
little chippy.
Saint John, Charlottetown and
Shawinigan, all up 3-1 in their respective series, can all advance with wins
tonight as well. Cape Breton and Chicoutimi are currently tied 2-2.
Rouyn-Noranda and Gatineau have already
advanced thanks to sweeps.
