SCRATCHES: Sea Dogs scratches were defensemen Jeremy Doucet (healthy) and Michael Abbott (healthy) along with forward Mackenzie Brown (healthy).

PRE-GAME: The loudest cheer in Harbour Station this season came at the end of the Sea Dogs’ into video that was set to the tune of Stompin’ Tom’s “The Hockey Song.” Very nice stuff.

Also, there was a ceremony to honour Saint John’s three 20-year old players: Maxime Villemaire, Ian Saab, and Pierre Durepos. Each was given their jersey by team president Wayne Long along with a scrapbook. Durepos got a long and loud standing ovation.

FIRST: It was fairly even and quick first period with shots 16-10 in favour of the Titan. Dangerous shots, according to the league website, were 5-5. It was scoreless after 20 minutes.

BIG KILL: At 15:10 of the second, Maxime Villemaire took a goaltender interference penalty. Then three seconds later, Pierre Durepos took a slashing penalty, giving Bathurst a long five-on-three power play. The Titan had plenty of pressure on but the Dogs, led by Sebastien Auger, killed it off.

ZDRAHAL: Patrik Zdrahal opened the scoring at 7:02 of the second period. It was the import forward’s 17th goal of the season. The marker also extended his goal streak to four straight games.

VILLEMAIRE: Stephen Anderson tied the game at 8:05 of the third, setting up for Maxime Villemaire to net the game winner at 13:04. The Saint John 20-year old now has 11 goals and 10 assists in 25 games.

AUGER: Sebastien Auger was unreal again last night, making 44 saves for the win. The netminder improved to 22-29-1-0 on the year with a 3.29 GAA and 0.908 SV%. What a season he’s having.

KELLY: Former Sea Dogs forward Aidan Kelly made his return to Harbour Station on Friday night. He had no shots, an even rating, and had one hit.

HOME RECORD: The Sea Dogs will finish the season with a 13-21-0-0 record at home. They were outscored 115-80 in their 34 home games.

ATTENDANCE: Sell out crowd of 6,488 watched the game. It was Saint John’s first and only capacity crowd of the regular season and first since Game Two of last year’s President’s Cup Final. The Dogs finished the season with an average attendance of 3,992 fans per game.

STANDINGS: With Saint John winning and Sherbrooke losing, the Sea Dogs are now just one-point back of the 15th-place Phoenix. Each team has four games left in the regular season. Sherbrooke takes on Baie-Comeau today.
