JURCO
Via Puck Daddy, here’s the latest Tomas Jurco viral
video.
Jurco’s AHL team, the Grand Rapids Griffins, said Jurco
couldn’t do much of his usual tricks because, y’know, he was wrapped in wires.
Jurco has 10 goals and nine assists in 57 AHL games this
season.

banquet on Tuesday at the Delta Brunswick. Ticket prices are $70 for a single

12 years of age are just $20. The formal night will include cocktails at 5:30
p.m., with the dinner and awards beginning at 6:30.
For additional information on purchasing tickets, please
call the Sea Dogs office (506) 632-9260, or email tonyapittman@saintjohnseadogs.com.
WINS
If Halifax wins both of their remaining games, they’ll
tie the QMJHL record for wins in a season 58. Saint John is part of that record
having won 58 in 2010-11. Sorel (1973-74) and Trois-Rivieres (1978-79) also own
the record.
Willy Palov of The Chronicle Herald had a solid column on
how the Sea Dogs and Mooseheads built their teams.
It’s interesting to note that Saint John had 34
regulation loses over the past three seasons combined and they have 42 this
year. Rebuild city.
CHIASSON
Former Sea Dog Danny Chiasson of the Summerside Western
Capitals was named to the Maritime Junior Hockey League’s first all-star team
this week.
The 20-year old finished the season tied for the league
scoring lead with 88 points in 48 games. He had a league best 54 assists.
Chiasson had a goal and two assists in six games with
Saint John last year.
KNOX
Former Sea Dogs forward and current UPEI Panther Jordan
Knox won the Dr. Randy Gregg Award earlier this week at the CIS Awards in
Saskatoon. The award recognizes excellence in hockey, academics and community
involvement.
Knox played two games with the Sea Dogs in 2007-08, going
pointless.
Solid tweet from Rocky’s today.
St Louis Blues sign Tesink. In other news, Blues file complaint that SeaDogs developed him TOO well. Sanctions expected from Q-Mob
