"Things happen and I say everything happens for a reason," DiDomenico said. "I can't look back on it. It's in the past. I've got to move forward."

The former Sea Dog broke his femur in a nasty collision on May 5 during a game of the QMJHL final in Shawinigan. 'Dido' was traded by the Sea Dogs in January in exchange for the rights to Mike Hoffman and a first round draft pick (Jonathan Huberdeau). The Ontario native found out about the trade following the gold medal game of the 2009 World Junior Hockey Championships.

"To his credit, he's worked very hard," said Anthony Belza, the Leafs' strength and conditioning coach. "There's obviously a lot of focus necessary to do this kind of work. He's been really professional about it."

DiDomenico also has his own locker in the Maple Leafs dressing room at their practice facility.
