KIRKPATRICK OKAY FOLLOWING GAME
Center Michael Kirkpatrick is “fine” after leaving Thursday’s game in the third period and not returning. Sea Dogs athletic therapist Jeff Kelly said on the Sea Dogs Twitter page that he had the wind knocked out of him. He will be in the line-up on Saturday.

JURCO HAS THE POX
Slovakian import Tomas Jurco missed Thursday’s game because he has come down with a case of chicken pox. Jurco will not play Saturday or Sunday and is questionable for the Sea Dogs three game Quebec road trip next weekend. In 15 games this season he has four goals and four assists.

PINK ICE AT THE M.C.
The Sea Dogs travel to Halifax to take on the Mooseheads on Saturday night at 7:00 pm (6:55 pm, News 88.9). The game will be the Herd’s ‘Pink in the Rink’ night but will feature more than just pink sweaters. In honor of breast cancer research, the Metro Centre ice will be painted pink. Lewiston is also painting their ice pink this season.

ANNUAL COACHING CLINIC ANNOUNCED
Hockey Canada’s Atlantic Regional Centre and the Saint John Sea Dogs have partnered in offering local minor hockey coaches an opportunity to participate in a Coaching Development Day on November 14th. Coaches will have an opportunity to take part in information sessions, workshops, evaluate the Saint John Sea Dogs game against the Acadie Bathurst Titan, and review the game with Sea Dogs coaching staff. Registration to the Coaching Development Day is limited to the first 50 coaches.

HAT TRICK OR TREAT
Sunday’s game at Harbour Station has been designated Halloween Fun Day when the Dogs host Acadie-Bathurst. The game will feature free candy, a costume contest, post-game autographs, and the special 4-for-$40 ticket package. Game time is 4:00 pm.

SEA DOGS 5 – TITAN 2 CANADIAN PRESS GAME RECAP
Mike Hoffman's hat trick lifted the Saint John Sea Dogs over the Acadie-Bathurst Titan 5-2 on Thursday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Hoffman put the Sea Dogs up 2-0, scoring just 10 seconds apart midway through the first period for his fourth and fifth of the season.

Eric Faille and Cameron Critchlow each scored for Acadie-Bathurst (6-7-3) to tie the game 2-2 after one.

Hoffman completed his hat trick on the power play at 11:27 of the second period, giving Saint John a lead it would not relinquish.

At Bathurst, N.B., Danick Gauthier and Nicholas Pard also scored for the Sea Dogs (11-4-1), who went 2-for-4 with the man advantage.

Titan goalie Marc-Antoine Gelinas picked up the win with 16 saves while Nicholas Champion was far busier at the other end, stopping 35 of 40 shots.
