SEA DOGS NOTEBOOK

GELINAS GETS NEW MASK
Sea Dogs goaltender Marc-Antoine Gelinas got a new mask yesterday according to the Sea Dogs official Twitter page.

The mask can be seen in the picture above.

Gelinas has been wearing a white helmet with several Sea Dogs logos on the mask. The logos are the same as the ones on players helmets. Gelinas got new equipment a couple of weeks ago after starting the season with his previously worn purple Gatineau Olympiques pads, glove, and blocker.

MCEWAN RELEASED
According to Tim Roszell of News 88.9, Robert McEwan was released from the Sea Dogs sometime before last Saturdays game in Cape Breton. He was sent to the junior A team that owns his rights in Ontario. It is unknown if he will choose to play there.

Roszell also said that McEwan, who has played in 37 career QMJHL games, has asked for a trade that will see him play for a team in the QMJHL where he will get ice time. He has two assists in those 37 games played.

The reason for the delayed report is because no publication has had any word on the release. He is still listed on the team’s roster as of Friday afternoon.

PINK IN THE RINK THIS WEEKEND
Saturday’s game between the Moncton Wildcats and Saint John Sea Dogs will feature the Sea Dogs wearing pink jerseys. The jerseys will be sold via silent auction during the game. Fans can make their bids at Sea Dogs Central on the concourse and have an opportunity to have them autographed following the match. All proceeds will go to the Canadian Breast Cancer Society.

MINOR CELEBRATY PREFORMING ANTHEM
Canadian Idol star Carly Rae Jepson will be performing the Canadian National Anthem at Sunday afternoon's Sea Dogs game against the PEI Rocket. This according to the Sea Dogs official Twitter page.

Sunday is also Family Fun Day #3 at Harbour Station. There will be the special 4-for-$40 ticket special, a kid’s fun zone, and post-game autographs.
