This will be Yann Sauve's franchise high fourth all-star game. Despres will play in his third.

Kirkpatrick joins Chris DiDomenico and Steven Anthony as the only forwards to play for team QMJHL.

Saint John hosted game two of the challenge last season. Russia won the game 4-3 in front of a sold-out Harbour Station. Alex Grant was named second star.
