Via Twitter, the Sea Dogs announced that forward Robbie Burt, who sits second on the team in points, has been sent home for the remainder of the 2018-19 season.
Burt, 19, is eligible to return next season as an overager, but that certainly seems in question right now.Sea Dogs forward Robbie Burt has been sent home for the remainder of the 2018-19 QMJHL season. It's the second time this season that Burt has been sent home by the Sea Dogs. During the opening days of training camp, the Hillsburgh, Ont. native was sent home for not being in proper physical condition. He returned a few weeks later after shedding some weight.
Burt, in his second season with Saint John, has 15 goals and 19 assists in 50 games. His last game was on Feb. 10.
Saint John returns to action on Monday, hosting the Halifax Mooseheads at 2 p.m.
