RECAP: Sea Dogs lose 5-1

FINAL: Saint John 1, Blainville-Boisbriand 5
BOISBRIAND, Que. - The Saint John Sea Dogs didn't do themselves any favours on Saturday night.

The Sea Dogs fell 5-1 to the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada, extending the team's losing streak to eight games. The win also gave the Armada, who sit 14th overall, a couple points. The Sea Dogs own Boisbriand's first round pick in this year's QMJHL Entry Draft.

Saint John was able to fire more shots on goal than Friday's 1-0 shutout loss in Quebec City, but the Sea Dogs struggled to find the back of the net again - which included an 0/7 mark on the power play.

Brady Burns scored Saint John's lone goal. Mikhail Denisov made 32 saves in the loss.

Antoine Demers scored a hat trick for the Armada while singles came from Tyler Hylland and Simon Pinard. Brendan Cregan made 30 stops in the win.

It wasn't a pretty road trip for the Sea Dogs, which featured three games against teams that all sit in the lower half of the QMJHL standings. They head home with just one point - which came in Thursday's shootout loss to the Shawinigan Cataractes. With 17 games left, Saint John sits four points out of the final playoff spot.
