DESPRES RELEASED; SAUVE IN ACTION TONIGHT

The Pittsburgh Penguins have released Simon Despres from the teams training camp roster. The Saint John Sea Dogs defenseman was drafted by the Penguins in the 2009 NHL entry draft.

Despres played Monday in front of friend and families at the Bell Centre in Montreal. That game was one of two pre-season games he played in. The "big horse" was learning the life of an NHL player with former Val-d'Or star defenseman Kris Letang.

Despres will not be in tonight's line-up against PEI.

Yann Sauve and the Vancouver Canucks are back in action tonight when they host the San Jose Sharks at General Motors Place.

Sauve has played in two pre-season games including a 6-2 win in San Jose last week. He was also in the line-up for Kraft Hockeyville when the Canucks defeated the Islanders 2-1.

He was drafted 41st overall by the Canucks in the 2008 NHL entry draft.

The Vancouver Sun gad an article on the Canucks prospect today. HERE is the article that includes tonights line-up.
