While 24 players from Saint John Sea Dogs training camp were celebrating seeing there name on the Dogs opening night line-up, Andrew Langan got disappointing news yet again. Mike Kelly, Sea Dogs director of hockey operations, said today in a press release that Langan has been designated for assignment. He will likely return to the Woodstock Slammers of the MJAHL.
Langan has only one point, an assist, in 11 games with Saint John over last season and 2007-08. Langan's development has always been questioned, staying with the Midget "AAA" Saint John Vitos rather than playing Junior "A".
The Quispamsis native was selected by Saint John in the fifth round, 73rd overall, in the 2007 QMJHL entry draft.
