It appears Sea Dogs defenseman Jason
Bell has received an invite to Calgary Flames rookie camp next month.

Bell, acquired midseason in a trade with
the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles, had three goals and five assists in 24 games
with Saint John last year. In his QMJHL career, the 18-year-old has 14 goals and 25
assists in 100 games.
Bell was a first round pick of the Screaming
Eagles in the 2013 QMJHL Entry Draft. He was ranked 180th by Future
Considerations and 187th by NHL Central Scouting for this year’s NHL
Draft but went unselected.
From Bell’s tweet, it sounds like he will be taking part in the Vancouver Canucks Young Stars Classic in Penticton, BC from Sept. 11-14. The Flames, Canucks, Edmonton Oilers and Winnipeg Jets will all be taking part in the annual tournament.
