According to Dave Ainsley, the
Chicoutimi Sagueneens writer for le Quotidien, the Sea Dogs will receive a 12th-round
pick if Salemi makes the team.
Salemi, an 18-year old from Brooklin,
Ont., was among the first round of cuts at Sea Dogs training camp – despite being
one of the top point producers during the five rookie games.
Last season with the Ontario Junior ‘A’ Hockey League’s Newmarket Hurricanes, Salemi recorded 13 goals and 19 assists in 47 games. Elite Prospects has him playing with the Cobourg Cougars this season.
