Hrdinka was not listed on Saint John’s training camp roster. With the Boston Bruins expected to send Jakub Zboril back
to junior and the arrival of Oliver Felixson – both import defensemen – there is
no room for Hrdinka this season.
The 17-year-old recorded a combined six
goals and seven assists in 33 games with Frolunda J18 last season. He also had
one goal and three assists in seven games with the Czech under-17 team.
The Ivan Hlinka Memorial Cup, an under-18 tournament, begins on Aug. 10. The Czechs will play Canada in their first game.
