SAINT JOHN – It was a high scoring
intrasquad game on Friday night at Harbour Station as Team Blue edged Team
White 7-6 in two 25-minute periods.
Some random news and notes from tonight:
- Rosters for the game can be found here.
- Overage forward Sam Povorozniouk looked good, scoring at least one goal and hitting the post with a wide-open net. He’s got a hard shot, too.
- Pace was way faster than any of the rookie games.
- Nathan Noel and Adam Marsh played really well together and Marsh scored a few nice goals.
- Didn’t notice Joe Veleno as much amongst the veterans but he was still noticeable. He made a few nice passes again.
- Not an amazing night for any goaltender, but Alex Bishop and Marc-Antoine Turcotte each made a few great saves.
- Goaltender Matt Williams had to leave the game with about eight minutes left with an apparent injury.
- The Sea Dogs travel to Pownal, PEI tomorrow to face the Charlottetown Islanders at 4 p.m.
