More Players Cut From Dogs Camp

SAINT JOHN – 34 players remain at Sea Dogs training camp following a round of cuts today.

12 players – two goaltenders, five defensemen and five forwards – have been released from the team’s training camp roster. That leaves three goalies, ten defensemen and 21 forwards at camp.

The following players are the latest to be “reassigned” by the Dogs:

G Matt Williams
G William Hardy-Murray – 2015, 12th round
D Pierre-Luc Lurette – 2015, 6th round
D Jonathan Mason – 2015, 11th round
D Mitchell Rankin
D Vincent Martineau – 2015, 3rd round
D Matt O'Leary – 2015, 12th round
F Cody Grant – 2014, 8th round
F Ryan Kenny – 2014, 4th round
F Benjamin Reade
F Thomas Morin – 2015, 10th round
F Samuel Leblanc – 2015, 13th round

No huge surprises amongst the cuts. Several of these players looked decent in camp, which is good news looking into the future.

Saint John’s next pre-season game is on Friday at 7 p.m. in Bathurst.
